Chronic Fatigue

Exhausted? Tired? No energy? Tossing in bed at night?

It’s not just #momlife or “too busy” or even pandemic exhaustion…
It’s chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and it’s not just in your head.

Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or CFS, is recognized as 3 months or more of the following symptoms, though these can vary person to person and day to day:

  • Fatigue

  • Problems with memory or concentration

  • Sore throat

  • Headaches

  • Enlarged lymph nodes in your neck or armpits

  • Unexplained muscle or joint pain

  • Dizziness that worsens with moving from lying down or sitting to standing

  • Unrefreshing sleep

  • Extreme exhaustion after physical or mental exercise

Though the cause of CFS is still unknown, the two most recognized triggers to this constant exhaustion are Immune System Issues and Hormone Imbalance. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and most recently,  Systemic Exertional Intolerance Disease (SEID), most commonly affects young adults to middle aged females.
